I am blessed to work in the happiest most celebrated part of the hospital but there are times of heartbreak and devastation. 💔 Yesterday for the first time in years I took care of a 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 mother and father who lost their daughter at just 19 weeks. Absolutely heartbreaking but one of the hardest moments of my nursing career was when the grandfather of the sweet little baby wanted to see his grand daughter. So I took her into the room and unwrapped her perfect little 19 week old body for him to see and hold. He sobbed and tears streamed down his face as he held his sweet granddaughter. Today I was floated to a not so happy department in the hospital. 😔 To sit and watch over a patient who struggles with mental illness and suicide ideation. He is sweet and kind and with his father at his bedside I can tell where he gets those character traits from. 🥰 ❤️ Life is so very precious yet unpredictable. It’s unfortunate devastating moments like these that make us pause and remember how fortunate we are no matter what adversity we might currently be facing. I do my absolute best to wake up each day with an attitude of gratitude 🙏 I have another day here on this earth! To laugh! To Love! To Live! To Spread Joy! To have a positive impact big or small on at least one person every day! And of course to PLAY and share all of my crazy sexy adventures with YOU! ❤️ Thank you for loving ALL sides of me, supporting and encouraging me in all my naughty endeavors and reading these sometimes very long 😜 heartfelt Ellie moments!!
